47805  -  47650    47257   D1935

47650 was renumbered from 47257 on the 04/07/86 and it was then named 'BRISTOL BATH ROAD' at Bath Road Depot on 29/06/91. It was then renumbered to 47805 on 03/08/89 and the nameplates were removed on 03/03/95. Virgin Cross Country leased the locomotive in 1997 and on 06/02/02 after overhaul, the loco was renamed 'PRIDE OF TOTON' at a private ceremony at Toton. This was the last class 47 locomotive to be painted in Virgin Livery.

When Virgin Cross Country handed the locomotive back to Porterbrook Leasing Company, it was leased to Freightliner Heavy Haul on 19/05/03.

The locomotive was purchased by Riviera Trains, 01/01/05, and retained its Virgin livery, without nameplates until September 2006 when the locomotive was repainted into Riviera's  company's house colours of Oxford blue.

On Friday 29th September 2006, 47805 was named at L&NWR Crewe, 'TALISMAN' at a private ceremony along with 47839 and 47843.
