47812  -  47657    47239   D1916

47812 was renumbered from 47657 on 31/07/89. In March 1998 it was named 'PRIDE OF EASTLEIGH' at a private ceremony at Eastleigh Depot on 06/02/02 after being repainted in Virgin livery. When Virgin Cross Country retired the loco in May 2003 it was then leased to Freightliner Heavy Haul.

The locomotive was acquired by Riviera Trains on 01/01/05. retaining its Virgin livery with red buffer beams but without nameplates. In November 2005 it was repainted by 'Midi Specialist Services' into Heritage Two Tone Green with yellow cab ends, to commemorate the locomotives 40th Anniversary of mainline service on British Railways.

In August 2006 47812 was one of our fleet required for long term use with Direct Rail Services for use on Flask trains. However after several months she was not needed and returned to Crewe for other work of Riviera's.
