The British Classic

The British Classic

'The British Classic' train set is made up of refurbished traditional Mk1 First and Standard class coaches. All are in 'Chocolate and Cream' livery which represents the classic BR Western Region livery carried in the late 1950's and early 1960's time period before the corporate days of the British Rail Blue and Grey era.

The train consist can provide a mixed formation of both First and Standard class with a Kitchen Car and Buffet Car service.

The train set is dual braked to operate with both modern air braked locomotives, but can also operate with the small number of Network Rail registered vacuum braked Steam locomotives running on the national network.

The coach interiors are individually trimmed with different cloths making the train a very classic environment to travel in.

All our trains operate as totally Non Smoking for the enjoyment of the majority of passengers.
Normally the maximum load for a charter train is 13 coaches running on the National network.
