The West Coast Set
'The West Coast Set' is made up of up to include 8 x
luxury Mk2f, ex-Virgin West Coast First Class vehicles,
giving 42 seats per vehicle. To provide the at seat
dinning car service the train will normally consist of
either one or two Kitchen cars. This set is identical to
'The Great Briton' but still carries the classic Virgin
Trains livery it did until recently, working services
between London, Manchester and Glasgow. This livery is
still retained being in excellent condition and also
matching the Standard Class coaches.
There is normally a dedicated buffet car for 'The West
Coast Set'. This being a Mk2 "RFO" air-conditioned coach
consisting of 25 Club Class seats with a specific
facility to provide a disabled wheelchair space.
The air conditioned carriages are spacious offering
large panoramic windows with armchair-style seats with
headrest covers. All seats benefit from full-size tables
with table lamps.
A Silver Dining car service can be provided,
steward-served and chef-prepared food from daily fresh
ingredients in fully-equipped onboard kitchens. Trains
can be branding and themed with an onboard entertainment
option if required.
